Takatof Program

“Takatof” is a volunteer program that was launched in 2007, inspired and initiated by the UAE President, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the program aims to engage society members in community service and promote a culture of volunteering. Takatof offers a wide range of volunteering opportunities across various sectors, allowing volunteers to make a positive impact in their communities. The program provides volunteers with a platform to contribute their time, skills, and enthusiasm toward meaningful projects and initiatives

“Takatof” is aligned with EF strategy that aims to achieve community resilience through awareness, empowerment, and equipped community members. Takatof is working to embed volunteering in UAE culture and to support the concept of community resilience and the idea of volunteering as a way of life. In addition, it improves the quality of life and empowers the different segments of society by providing volunteering projects and programs that ensure sustainability in collaboration with civil society, private and government sectors.

Main Objectives

Community Development: The program focuses on addressing community needs and challenges through volunteering initiatives. Volunteers participate in projects that contribute to the well-being and development of their communities.
Skill Development: Takatof offers volunteers the chance to enhance their personal and professional skills through hands-on experiences. Participants develop teamwork, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
